My Approach to Medicine

I love obstetrics and gynecology.  I was hooked when I saw my first delivery in medical school, and I never considered doing anything else.  I enjoy working with teenagers and women in their first pregnancy.  I also enjoying helping women understand the many changes in their bodies as they progress through all stages of life.  Now that I’ve been in practice for 4 years, I love seeing patients come back year after year for their annual

exams and continuing a relationship with them.  My patients
would probably describe me as quiet and calm.  I
do my best to listen to their concerns and to meet
their needs in addition to making sure they are
keeping up with their health.

My Background

I grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the youngest of four children. I came to Baltimore for college and again for residency, and liked it so much I decided to stay! I live in Ellicott City, Maryland with my husband Robin. We have 2 wonderful daughters, Maggie, age 5 and Anna, age 2. I enjoy reading, playing with my kids and gardening in my free time.
